All blockchain communities that are decentralized have some sort of rewards system for people who help secure their network. In some systems like Bitcoin, these rewards are given to ‘Miners’, a select subgroup of people who secure the Bitcoin network.

In CONCENSUM we have ‘Staker’ instead of ‘Miners’ because we are working Proof of Stake (POS) instead Proof of Work (POW).

Anyone who has CEN can help secure the network and is able to receive rewards for their efforts!

The amount of block rewards are separated in different phases. The amount of CEN for each block will decrease for each phase. We start with phase 1 and 2 together 24.6375 blocks with 22 CEN per block. Starting of phase 3 the block rewards will decrease to 21 CEN per block and further 24.6375. Each following phase has 24.6375 blocks. Assuming 128 seconds per block we have 24.6375 block per year (365 days).

1. How to Get Rewards?

CONCENSUM operates using a Proof of Stake security mechanism which means that in order to help secure the network, you must prove you hold CEN. The easiest way to get rewards is staking your CEN, which has no required minimum, but requires you to keep your wallet active. We recommend a value of 10000 CEN in your wallet.

3. How much can I earn?

Every 128 seconds, 22 CENs are created. The probability of receiving a block reward depends only on the number of mature coins (“your weight”) in the wallet divided by the network weight. Coins must be in the wallet for 500 confirmations (blocks) to become mature. Thats around 18 hours. You can use our stake-calculator which you find here.

The following Reward Scheme shows the CEN rewards per block in each phase. We assuming 675 Block per day with a blocktime of 128 seconds.
